Hempstalk 2011 Talent Search: Winner to Receive $1000
Calling all talent; we need your help. The Hempstalk Stage Committee is announcing the Hempstalk 2011 Talent Search. The winner of the contest will take home a $1000.00 prize and perform at our event.
Why we are holding this contest: Over the past few years, we have had hundreds of requests to perform at our festival. This is always the hardest part of the festival to make the act list decisions. This year we have come up with a contest where you and your fans can ensure your spot on the stage. This is a great way for us to see what the Hempstalk community likes and also help an act establish a place in the Northwest Scene through exposure.
How the contest will work: Hempstalk Facebook Page fans are going to choose one act to perform at our festival. The act with the most "Likes" on our page will get the opportunity to perform in front of thousands on our Jack Herer Memorial Stage during the weekend (time, duration & day TBD). The top act secures their spot and prize, and other top acts will be considered for the event.
How to enter: Submit your best song, comedy act, or performance (social media) to the Hempstalk Facebook Page under the Tab titled "Most Recent". Within 72 hours we will then re-submit your recommended link to our "Wall" for fans to begin voting. You may also email us at booking at hempstalk.org to sign up. It's that simple. Recommend, Promote, Vote.
Contest ends: May 31, 2011. The winner will be notified by the Hempstalk Stage Committee by June 1, 2011.
Where: Kelley Point Park in Portland, Oregon.
When: September 10 or 11, 2011
Disclaimer: Must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Performance must be age appropriate. Back line provided. Prize to be collected after performance. Traveling expenses not provided.
Stage Rules:
1. Watch the Time.
2. Keep It Clean.
3. No Throwing Anything from Stage.
4. No Smoking on Stage.
